Interview With The Appalachian Channel Part 2

My conversation with John Ward delved into some interesting territory. The most surprising turns was when we began to talk about the real reason why for FEMA is involved with the state. On the surface that my sound odd. After all, isn't it FEMA's task to be involved with disasters? That's what I initially mentioned to John Ward, and what he had to tell me next was a bizarre saga of corruption and cover ups.

Interview With The Appalachian Channel Part 1

When I first spoke to John I wasn't sure what to expect. Of course I'd watched his coverage of the crisis, but you know how someone can be one way on camera and turn into someone else when the camera is off? Throughout my conversation with John, I found him to be genuine. He has a way of putting you at ease, I had the feeling that I was talking to a friend on the porch. The man you see on camera doesn't show you just how hard he is actually working. It doesn't show just how deeply he actually cares for people he's never even met. There aren't enough people like this man in the world

Rescue the Perishing

At this very moment there are hundreds of people, families with small children who are freezing in tents because of the callous indifference of local politicians. After the devastating floods caused by Hurricane Helene, there are thousands of residents who have lost their homes. Many people do not have the resources to escape the disaster zone, and have no choice but to remain where they are. There are currently no shelters available in the town of Haywood. In an effort to house families facing freezing temperatures residents have taken it upon themselves to construct tiny houses as shelters. But there is a monkey wrench in all this.

Emergency Call For Action

A week ago, a YouTuber named John Ward posted a video on the Appalachian Channel exposing the town of Haywood, North Carolina, for denying residents from building tiny homes as shelters for displaced individuals. According to John Ward, there are families taking shelter in tents, suffering freezing temperatures and pleading for help. As documented by John Ward, the town council is aware of the situation, and refuses to allow tiny homes to be built as shelters. A tearful John Ward begged to know why these displaced people were being treated so cruelly, saying 'these were human beings'.
