Let’s recap everything we went over in part 1; President Donald Trump has been charged with 91 felony counts. No US President has ever been indicted or charged, despite the fact there’s been multiple cases of corruption in the Oval Office. What was Trumps horrible crime? It had to be heinous, because if Trump is convicted of all charges he’ll be sentenced with over 700 years of jail time. Not even El Chapo or Al Capone were dealt such heavy judgements. Trumps crime is, ‘election denial’, a confusing accusation, given that ‘election denial’ is not a crime, anywhere. For that very reason DA’s Alvin Bragg & Fani Willis have managed to add corruption and racketeering charges, which definitely are crimes. Somehow, ‘election denial’ has been conflated with corruption and racketeering, which I truly don’t understand.
All right, we need to break all of this down. This has to be one of the most confusing cases I’ve ever heard of. Of course that could be the strategy if you think about it. Maybe the goal is to confuse Trumps legal team so much they can’t put out a decent defense. How do you accuse a person of something that isn’t a crime, then add several other unrelated charges that are crimes, and then try to insist it’s all part of the same charge? I don’t get it either.
So what exactly is going on here? Both DA’s have repeatedly insisted that their indictments are all about keeping those in power, ‘accountable’. Which I would have believed, had I not seen their campaign videos where they vowed to ‘get Trump’, ‘indict Trump’, ‘throw Trump in prison’. If it was me, and I was running for District Attorney I would be talking about getting crime off the streets or something like that. No, the big campaign promise was to ‘get Trump’. Well, say what you like about either of the DA’s, but they at least keep their promises.
Trump is indicted, under bizarre charges. Couldn’t they have at least dredged up tax fraud or something? At least then this case would make sense. I am at a loss to explain how you can charge someone with a felony crime for refusing to accept their defeat.
Let’s stop beating around the bush here, even if you can’t stand the very ground Trump walks on, no one could legitimately believe that this is a ‘fair’ and ‘honest’ trial. After everything we just discussed, no thinking individual could really believe that either of the DA’s are charging Trump out of a deep conviction that they must stand for right.
Here’s my final nail in the coffin, the timing of this clown show. Look, Fani Willis and Alvin Bragg have been in their respective offices for several years. If they really wanted to ‘get Trump’ they had plenty of time to do so. Instead they waited. And waited. Until Trump announced his campaign run. Then became the GOP frontrunner. It was only then that the indictments poured forth like confetti. Come on. I expect this in a banana republic, not the United States. There’s been speculation that this is an attempt by the Biden administration to subvert Donald Trumps campaign, but I haven’t seen any evidence of such a claim. Regardless of whether Joe Biden had anything to do with this or not, the indictments are a blatantly political move.
What makes this such a distortion of justice is that thanks to these DA’s the office of the President has now been diminished. As I mentioned in part 1, the reason that nobody ever indicted past Presidents such as Richard Nixon, was ultimately because no one wanted to be the ones to start the trend. No one wanted to actually charge our Commander-In-Chief with a felony crime. What Alvin Bragg and Fani Williams have now started what will be a terrible trend. From here on out, there’s nothing to stop any and very President from having their authority diminished by a never ending torrent of indictments and charges. It will ultimately make us into a weak nation, because our leader will be weak. The dignity, authority and power of the Presidency is now going out the door. This will turn the United States into an international laughingstock.
I’m not at all suggesting that we should simply get behind whatever the current President says or does. I absolutely believe that everyone in power, especially the President, should be held accountable at all times. What I am saying isn that we should avoid these frivolous and meaningless charges and lawsuits. Because whether these DA’s realize it or not, they are destroying the nation by tearing down the office of the President. I’m not saying this in a partisan sense, were President Joe Biden subject to the same absurd charges I would still say the same things. The issue isn’t politics, or whether or not you like Donald Trump, these are all red herrings. This is about integrity in our justice system and about respect for the office of the President. That ladies and gentlemen, is what’s really going on with the Trump indictments. What we’ve witnessed so far is a shameless mockery of justice and integrity. It’s painful to think that at one point we used to look at the office of the DA and it would mean a respected position. Watching Alvin Bragg and Fani Willis implode their own offices with petty politics is truly sickening.
These indictments are so fake, like for real. I can’t believe people actually fall for this kind of stuff. It’s all just a ploy to confuse us more about the reality of how bad our government system is.
Politicians send hundreds of billions of dollars to fund the international war machine while Americans are struggling with the most basic necessities, yet Trump is somehow the villain.
