Ten years after the conference I was burned out, cynical and deeply pharisaical. I've been suffering from a terrible case of spiritual arrogance and pride. I have family members who believe in the power of God at work in our lives today. In my hubris I thought of myself smarter than they were. I wasn't so easily fooled, no on would pull the wool over my eyes. Oh no.
