‘The State Owns Your Child’! – The Truth About Joe Biden

We’re in the middle of the third year of Joe Biden’s presidency. It’s been a whirlwind to say the least. The most alarming thing about watching President Biden is not his disastrous foreign policy, or his failed domestic decisions, rather its his apparent mental decline. I for one never had an issue with the age of Joe Biden, when President Donald Trump was elected he was the oldest man elected and his age wasn’t an issue. What does concern me is watching President Biden constantly fumble around, forgetting the names of his cabinet members, where he even is, or making bizarre, nonsensical comments. Its concerning because if you’re the commander in chief of a world superpower, mental aptitude is key. You hold the power of a massive military force and hundreds of nuclear bombs. For all my disagreements with the administration, whether its a liberal or conservative in the White House, I expect whomever is sitting in the Oval Office to be able to make good, cognitive decisions. After all, you’re regularly meeting with world leaders and with each meeting the wrong thing said could ignite a war. Watching Bidens apparent mental decline is extremely alarming.

Conservatives regularly lampoon the wild things that happen while more liberal channels tend to simply ignore the issue. The image most people have of President Biden is a doddering old man, feebly attempting to remember to put his shoes on. However, I think there’s an unspoken story here. I personally can’t comment on the mental state of the President, because I’ve never met him (obviously, right?), all I’ve seen are just sound bytes and three second clips. Which doesn’t tell me anything useful, these tiny clips only show me what the media wants me to see.

There is another side to President Biden that doesn’t get any attention, one that is very far from the simpering old fool regularly portrayed. Once I stopped laughing at the clips (some them were pretty funny honestly), I started to think. ‘Something just doesn’t add up here’, I thought to myself. I’m not an expert on Joe Biden, but I knew a few basic things. He’s been in politics for over forty years, eight of those years serving as Vice President. No one can make that claim in politics, not Jerry Nadler, Dianne Feinstein or Mitch McConnell (And God knows they’ve been in too long as is. If this really is some mentally unstable, insane man, then how has he managed to hold positions of power for decades straight? Its off to say the least.

The other thing that doesn’t add up is that Biden was the Democratic nominee in 2020. I know, I’m just stating the obvious. I need you to pay attention. I watched the 2020 election with a lot of attention. I already knew that President Trump would be the Republican nominee before the election ever started, that was obvious. As for the Democratic nominee, I was certain that Senator Bernie Sanders would be nominated. Truthfully, I was surprised he wasn’t nominated in 2016. He was energetic, eloquent and had massive support. I don’t agree with most of what he said, but I figured especially in 2020 he would be the obvious choice. Especially given the laughably pathetic roster the Democrats had. But instead, it was Biden who got it. The thing you need to understand about the Democratic Party is that from its inception, the Democratic Party has always been about consolidating power. (Come to think of it, so are the Republicans) No matter who they’ve nominated, it was always the ‘party man’. It didn’t have to be an establishment candidate, take the nominations of Jimmy Carter, John F. Kennedy, or Al Gore. The Democratic Party doesn’t mind nominating candidates that didn’t fit the standard mold. Thats why Senator Sanders being nominated made sense.

Biden’s nomination didn’t make sense. For one, his record was extremely tainted. Despite touting himself as a ‘progressive’, Bidens record is littered with disastrous decisions, from supporting the war in Iraq, to advising then-President Obama to not authorize a strike against Osama Bin-Laden. There was a particularly poignant moment during one of the Democratic primary debates where Senator Kamala Harris grilled Biden for voting to bus poor black children away from San Francisco, rebuking him as one of those children bussed out. (I’m still trying to decide if selecting her as VP was diplomatic or coldly political, probably both.)

Then there was Bidens terrible public persona. There are rare moments when President Biden speaks and he manages to sound caring and Presidential. These moments are few and far in between. Most of the time Biden either seems to suffer severe mental lapses. Biden also has a volcanic temper, always ready to blow at any moment and lash out against random people.

The final factor that didn’t make sense is Donald Trump himself. We all knew that Trump would be the nominee, and so did the Democrats. Basic political strategy would dictate that if you’re political opponent is an anti-establishment, populist, then you would need a similar candidate to even stand a chance. That candidate would’ve been Bernie Sanders. Joe Biden was very well-established, nothing in his campaign promised anything particularly progressive or revolutionary. The only time he ever managed to get into the headlines was when he was bragging about his ‘fluffy, golden leg hair’. Joe Biden didn’t check a single box that would’ve qualified him as a worthwhile candidate. Yet he was still nominated. How did that happen?

Its my belief that we’ve all severely underestimated Joe Biden. Questions of mental aptitude aside, it appears that Biden is much more shrewd and intelligent than we figured. My first proof is the simple fact, the man has held power for over forty years. That doesn’t just happen by accident or chance. Occasionally people like, say, Jesse Ventura get in by chance, but these are only for a term, two at the most. Never in an unbroken streak of forty years.

The other proof I would bring up is watching how Joe Biden ran his 2020 campaign. We can talk about who heads the RNC or DNC all we want to, but lets quit fooling ourselves. We all know that the billionaire donors in all the Super-PACS really run the show here. While Bernie Sanders undoubtedly had more popular support, what cost Sanders the nomination was his refusal to cater to the big corporations. He would repeatedly speak out against Big Pharma and the corruption of billionaires and you can’t say things like that expecting large donations. Biden spent very little time catering to grassroots supporters, instead he spent the majority of his time addressing the heads of major corporations and winning over the Super-PACS. So when nomination time came around, it was Joe Biden who was nominated.

Still think Joe Biden is some decrepit man, stupidly fumbling around for his slippers? Because that’s not what his record shows, his record show a man who knows exactly how the game of politics is played. He knows what to say, and who to say it to. While I wouldn’t exactly describe him as sharp, perhaps the word ‘calculated’ would be better.

I’ve said all that to prepare you for what I’ll say next. Watching Biden carefully for the past three years, I’ve noticed a disturbing trend. (Not not the leg hair, disturbing as that was) While I’ve groaned at watching the disastrous effects of Bidens foreign policy (and its bad, he’s even worse than Barack Obama), I’ve watched the way he’s positioned his domestic policies. There are moments of lucidity if you pay attention to President Biden speeches. Rather than see a dazed old fool, I’ve seen a man who is bent on expanding his authority, and committed to empowering the federal government. Think about it, what has Joe Biden attempted to pass during his administration?

1) He tried to double the IRS workforce, and arm them to boot! Now what could we possibly need with 70,000+ armed IRS agents I wonder?

2) He has multiple times attempted a complete AR-15 ban.

3) He has decried his political adversary and supporters as ‘terrorists’. Hmm……

And just to top it all off, when President Biden was asked about the decision of Governor Ron DeSantis to ban transgender surgeries on minors he lashed out by attacking DeSantis and declaring, ‘the State owns your child! Not Governor DeSantis’! He shouted. Could he have possibly made a more Orwellian statement? Of all the ways to respond to a decision you don’t agree with.

In short I believe we have all underestimated the sheer cunning, and strategy of Joe Biden. I still can’t make heads or tails of his mental decline, but what I can say confidently is that President Biden didn’t get in the White House because the Democratic Party just tossed a coin and he was heads. Far from it, this is a man who knows exactly what he’s doing. If nothing else pay attention to the way the criminal actions of his son Hunter Biden has, and will remain unpunished. This is a very powerful man, who knows exactly how to wield it.
