To anyone who's followed my blog recently, my entire focus has been representing the cause and mission of Jesus Christ, of living in the Kingdom. That hasn't changed. I want to point out that as Christians, one of the highest callings we have is to be joyful. Somehow we've gotten the idea that we're supposed to be somber and think about serious things all the time.

If there is anything I've learned in life, it is the value and even the necessity of trying new things. Stasis equals death in today's world. When you become stagnant, this is ultimately the death of every great venture or business. In my case, I am always on the lookout for advantages, new ways to grow and promote.

The truth is, I love the Chruch. As in, I love the people of God. This is what the Church is all about. The church never had anything to do with buildings. It was always about the people. No matter if we meet in a building, a tent, or a cafe. We are the church. We are the Kingdom.

In a world filled with terrorism, racism, hatred and division, where friends and families are being pitted against each other, do we understand the importance of a sanctuary? Far more than merely being a place to escape, the church could be a place of strength and healing. A place to restore our souls, renew our strength.

The fact is, most churches today are just social clubs. Instead of an open and passionate community of faith, we have created a religious club where anyone who doesn't fit the cookie-cutter mold is excluded and rejected. As much as we may not want to admit it, we are more divided in our churches than anywhere else.
